NOTE
“Passion” for solo marimba was composed in 2010 with the intention of expressing the intense passion and soulful cries of flamenco on the marimba. I was conscious of the melodies and rhythms that are repeated over and over again, and I put in this piece the image of palmas (hand clapping) and the sound of castanets coming out of nowhere. I hope you enjoy the various landscapes that appear in this piece.
